It’s time to go
And offer prayers.
Believe in the good
Say the little people
Of the mountains.
Never mind
The busy naysayers or words
From chatterboxes in the marketplace.
Transformed by boulders and starseed nations
A pueblo dream and painted pony
Visit my night near Thunder Mountain.
Journal prompt: Visit one of your favorite places in person, or if unable to travel, go there in your mind. Write about the feelings you have in these locations. What kind of geography suits you best? Where do you feel most at home? Is it city, coastline, small town, semi-rural, wilderness… or….traveling?
Discussion: Whenever possible, I visit the West Coast/Pacific Ocean. I also enjoy Flagstaff and Sedona, Arizona. Yellow Springs, Ohio and the Serpent Mounds of the Hopewell people near Athens, Ohio are two other fascinating places.
